Hostel Description
Wilderness Hostel Karuskose is situated near Raudna River, in the middle of Soomaa National Park.
We offer accommodation in the old farmhouse (4 rooms with 11 beds) and a wooden log-cabin (2 beds). Simple facilities - try toilets and showers outside the house. Traditional smoke sauna and floating sauna on the river.
Karuskose has a nice and old garden with apple trees and vegetables.
Here in Karuskose starts Ingatsi nature trail that takes you to Kuresoo Bog, the biggest mire of Estonia, good for bog-walking (year around) and bog-skiing (dec-march).
On the river of Raudna you can go canoeing and fishing. Guided programmes a available upon request.
At Karuskose the cources of building dugout canoes - haabjas, have been hold. You are welcome to participate.
