The hotel is superbly located in the heart of the city's cosmopolitan West End only a 5 minute walk from Princess Street and 15 from Edinburgh Castle. Also excellently positioned for those arriving by rail (Haymarket station 250 meters) or from the airport.

We have been upgrading and modifying our premises constantly to achieve the high standards expected at the historic West End Hotel and our occupancy has leapfrogged from a mere 15 guests to a more accommodating 50+.

Check-in from 1300 - 2200 only.
All private rooms booked include full Scottish breakfast.
All mixed dorm beds do not include breakfast but may be purchased separately from reception.

Our dormitories are very spacious and all have brand new beds, linens and decor from March 2007. These are a class apart! And with self-catering facilities available from Easter, this is a must see!

Private rooms are en-suite or with private bathroom. Rooms are full of character and with state of the art key card entry systems for heightened security; enjoy an exciting evening of live traditional Scottish music in our lounge bar most Saturday evenings!

We hope to enhance our customer?s experiences soon by offering tour booking facilities and a self-catering kitchen for backpackers.

We accept group bookings - Security deposits required.

From airport: Take the Shuttle Bus (No 100) to haymarket station and follow the rail directions.
By Rail : Leave Haymarket station and head east to the left of the Haymarket bar. Carry on to Starbucks and turn left onto Palmerston Place. The Hotel is 150 metres down on the right hand side.

By Bus or from Waverly station: walk onto Princes Street and Head West (with the shops on your right hand side,) continue to the End of Princes Street and beyond for another 5 minutes. You will approach a junction with a Starbucks and a Chemist, turn right onto Palmerston Place. The Hotel is 150 meters down on the right hand side.
