Only a 15 minute walk from here is the majestic Castle that is a must see. Right on our doorstep we have the wonderful St Mary's Cathedral, a popular landmark, and 5 minutes from our door is Princes Street. There are a range of bars and restaurants within 100 meters and a little further are the football and rugby stadiums - Tynecastle and Murrayfield. We are also opposite the cities busiest bus interchange so you'll have no problems transporting yourself out of the neighborhood.

Please note:
The female dorm is only available for booking by females. If a male books this room your booking will be canceled and the deposit will not be refunded! All other dorms are mixed sex.

*Triple rooms consist of lower double bed and upper single bed.
*Family room consists of 3 single bunks and 1 lower double bunk.
*All group bookings require a £20 per person security deposit on arrival.
* No under 16 years in any dorms (mixed or female only) unless booked through group bookings.

The hostel enjoys an enviable location directly opposite Haymarket rail station and you can see the West-End of the world famous ?Princes Street? from outside our door! The city?s wonderful sights, scenery and nightlife at the Grassmarket and Old Town are all within walking distance from here too.

Throughout the fall and Winter of 2007 we will be decorating and upgrading our facilities to achieve a 4* standard. Please bear with us when work starts in October.

All Groups over 8 Persons may be asked for a £20 per person cash deposit on arrival. This will be refunded in whole or part after rooms are checked. Please see terms and conditions.

Important notice for New-Year period 2007/8:
We are offering a 4 night minimum stay from £40 per person per night. (£160+ pp for those 4 nights.) All prices are subject to change. Over Hogmanay (New Year?s) all cancellations must be made 10 days before your arrival date or you will be charged the full amount!

Hogmanay (New years) ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE 10 DAYS BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL DATE OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE ENTIRE STAY. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE IN ANY CASE.

Terms and Conditions.

All deposits and pre-paid stays are non-refundable in any circumstance. All cancellations must be made by telephone or email by a minimum time of 10a.m. 2 days before arrival or the full cost of 1 nights stay shall be deducted from the bookers credit card details. Group bookings of more than 8 people cannot be canceled within 10 days of arrival date and the FULL cost will be charged. Any Group reservations of 8 or more people MUST provide a £20 per person cash deposit on arrival as security on any losses incurred through damage, nuisance to other guests and loss of revenues. i.e. Damage to bedstead = £110, sickness = £25+ etc. Any arrivals after 11pm incur a £5+ fee and must be arranged in advance. The breakfast provided is free of charge and may be withdrawn at any time. Due respect to other guests should be shown whilst staying in our hostel. We have a traffic light system for all deposits. One warning from staff - Green, 2nd Warning - Amber = Complete loss of all Security deposit, 3rd Warning = Immediate removal from the premises.

New Years reservations made must be paid in full on arrival or before and cannot be canceled after 17 Dec. Failure to arrive or cancellation for any reason will result in the full amount being charged.


Arriving by train:
The hostel is located directly across from Haymarket train station.

Arriving by bus:
On leaving the station, stay left to Princes street and continue the same route as on foot.See below.

Arriving by Air:
Take the shuttle bus from Edinburgh airport and get off at the Haymarket stop. There is an airport bus link directly across from the hostel.

Arriving by Car:
Approach from the A70 motorway, the hostel is located on the main Glasgow road. Car Parking is available at Haymarket train station or Morrison Street car park.

Arriving on foot:
From Princes street head to the department store Frasers, continue for five minutes and you will see the Haymarket clock. The hostel is located on the right hand side terrace.
