Our popular hostel is situated in the traditional, small village of Gruenau im Almtal, you will find beautiful countryside, crystal clear waters surrounded by towering mountains, we are one of the most scenic locations in Austria!
In summer we organise rafting, canyoning, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, swimming and much more! We can provide something for everyone!
Gruenau also hosts some of the most inexpensive ski areas in Austria, which is just a 5 minute walk from the hostel and if you haven't got your own equipment, you can rent it here. We also provide ski cloathing for free!

Getting here is easy. Just take a train to Wels station in between Salzburg and Vienna and then change to regional track 11. We are the last stop on the line and when you get to Grünau just dial 8499 from the phonebox and we will pick you up. Keep in mind that the last train to run from Wels to us leaves at 20:51
