Situated in the heart of rural Essex, Great Dunmow is an attractive market town, rich in history and within easy reach of Stansted Airport. The Saracens Head Hotel dates back to the 16th Century and was originally a coaching inn, at which Oliver Cromwell is reputed to have stayed. The distinctive property has 31 bedrooms all ensuite and two conference rooms and is in an ideal location for both business and leisure travellers.
We have a superbly elegant traditional and contemporary feel Restaurant with an excellent ambiance, which offers it diners, an appetizing choice of traditional cuisine, complimented by a modern yet Old World Bar, which also offers a full range of bar meals, and a selection of local ales which are available all day.

Hostel Directions
Exit M11 (Junction 8) signposted Stansted Airport, Colchester and Chelmsford. Follow the A120 to Great dun mow and get off the A120. At the second mini roundabout take the first turning on the left into the town centre. The Hotel is situated in the middle of the high street on the right hand side. To get to car park turn right at the Police station into Chequers lane.
