Hostel Description
As the photos show, the hotel is in a large, old Victorian family home with 3m high stained-glass windows at the top of the curving wood staircase. There are 14 rooms, ranging from singles and doubles to family, and also group-friendly rooms sleeping 4, most being en-suite. Each room has color TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.
The hotel is open all year, is centrally heated throughout and has a
lounge with wide-screen TV, a bar, breakfast room and free internet facilities, including WI-FI. There is on-site parking, cycle/ surf-board storage and access 24 hours. On weekends breakfast is served until 10.30am.
Please be aware that during the summer holiday we do not accept any group bookings (we have too many families on their weeks holiday) though group bookings are welcome and frequent throughout the rest of the year.
We took over the hotel and started remodelling it in mid-May 2002 and have now completed a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area for guests personal use, totally separate from the main hotel dining facilities. We have plans for a whole food café, and extra rooms dorm-style were added this Spring , to complement the existing comfort and service expected in a modern hotel while adding freedom of choice not usually found. We hope our enthusiasm will ensure you find us a friendly, flexible and informal place to stay, whether you are on business, holiday, an overseas trip or visiting the Bournemouth International Centre.

Hostel Directions
By air:
Bournemouth International Airport has connections to Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead and many european cities.
By bus or train:
Both run hourly to and from London, taking only about 2 hours. From Bournemouth Travel Interchange take bus no. 25 or 68 and ask to dismount at Boscombe Crescent (St Johns Road is virtually opposite).
By ferry:
Nearby Poole has ferry links to Cherbourg and the Channel Islands.
By road:
About 2 hours from London via M25, M3, M27, A31 and following signs for Bournemouth the final approach is on the A338. Then consult map, but suggest leaving the dual-carriageway by turning left at the first roundabout, signposted for Bournemouth East and Travel Interchange (having ignored previous sliproads off signposted Boscombe), straight over the next, then take a left at the third roundabout, which takes you down Christchurch Road and St.Johns Road is on the right at traffic lights after about a mile, an Indian restaurant (Sajniz) and a church being on the corner. We are then about 200 metres down on the left!
