The Hostel is a member of the Independent Backpackers Hostels Scotland (IBHS) Group.

We are also a member of the VisitScotland Disabled Access Scheme (level 2).

We have been awarded the bronze award in the VisitScotland Green Business Tourist Scheme.

Unlike the SYHA we have NO daytime curfew restrictions or rules on drinking in the Hostel.

Our facilities are suitable for both sexes, families, individuals and groups.

The owners are long standing members of RSPB, Greenpeace, Sustrans, MLTB, BASI and BCU. We are able to give excellent local information.

*Efficient drying room with de-humidifier and drying racks
*24 hour non-stop hot water for hot drinks in the kitchen
*No meters - all coal, kindling and wood provided.
*Level on-site free off-road parking for 9 cars
*Payphone charging half of BT rates
*No extra charges for use of auto washing machine (powder for 1 wash for sale - 30p) brilliant drying room
