Hostel Description
Sleepzone Connemara? which opened in March 2005 is spectacularly situated in the heart of Connemara overlooking The Killary ? Ireland's only Fjord.
Built in the late 1800s it has now been converted into one of the most comfortable hostels anywhere in Europe. It has over 100 beds in 21 en-suite rooms ? both private and dormitory, with many of the rooms refurbished in January 2006!
Sleepzone Connemara has some fantastic facilities; residents? bar with beer and wine license, free internet and WI-FI access, cable TV and big screen, self-catering kitchen, barbeque terrace, outdoor camping facility, its own tennis court, bicycle hire and access to a range of organized outdoor adventure pursuits on its doorstep
To reach Sleepzone Connemare from the 1st of September, Bus Eireann operates a bus on Tuesday and Saturday. Bus leaves Galway bus station at 10.00 AM on Saturday and 18:15 PM on Tuesday. Bus leaves from leenane at 09:45 AM on Tuesday and 16:09 PM on Saturday
You can also take a full day guided tour of Connemara & Cong with The Galway Tour Company.You can hoop on the bus at Sleepzone Galway City, stay at Sleepzone Connemara and hop back for the rest of the Tour and back to Galway City. Bus Leaves Galway at 10.00 AM and leaves Sleepzone Connemara at 13.00 PM daily.

Hostel Directions
Driving:* Sleepzone Connemara is approximately 50 kms from Galway City.
From Galway City take The Clifden road (N59), go through the towns of
Moycullen and Oughterard. At Maam Cross (Peacock's Hotel) turn right and
head for the village of Leenane. Drive 6 kms past Leenane on the
Clifden road. You will then see sign(s) for Sleepzone pointing to the
right - Sleepzone Connemara is 1 km down to the end of this narrow road.
*Inagh** Valley: *An alternative (slightly longer drive but very
beautiful) route is via the Inagh Valley. From Galway, go straight
through Maam Cross as far as Recess. At recess take the right turn
marked Inagh Valley. At the end of this road turn right again. Drive
about 6kms. This time you will see the same sign(s) as above except
this time pointing to your left!
From Galway City take The Clifden road (N59), go through the towns of
