It is a Nature Conservancy area of special interest for bird watchers, botanists, geologists and archaeologists. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy unrestricted roads and paths all over the island. The east coast has cliffs and there are deep fissures on Beinn na Leac and Dun Caan. Why not try trout fishing on hill lochs?

Please note: Reception closed between 10:00am & 5:00pm

CalMac car ferry departs for Raasay from Sconser (Mon-Sat 9-10 daily; 15 min). Please note the last ferry only runs on Saturdays in June, July & August other wise it's 18.45 hours. There are also two ferries each way on Sundays.

Note to car drivers, there is no petrol on the island.

Plentiful on-road parking at the hostel.
