Oxford Backpackers Hostel is ideally located near the centre of town and is situated between the train and bus stations. It is only a 2 minute walk to either station from the Hostel. Now that's central!
Being so close to the centre of town means that you are within easy walking distance to all of Oxford's amazing architecture, world famous Universities, pubs, clubs, canals and great shopping arcades. And if you want to get out into the countryside to see the Cotswold?s or the amazing Blenheim Castle, then hey, jump on a bus at the station and you're there.
We are equipped with 24 hour internet access; fully stocked and rocking late night bar, laundry facilities, self catering kitchen, pool table, phone and fax service, and big, big jobs board (because once you get here you just might want to stay a while longer!). And if you do feel tempted to stay longer, check out our great weekly rates.
We have a new 2.5m big screen for planned movie nights. Including free popcorn and other major sporting and TV events.
Oxford is well serviced by train and coach from London. The Oxford Tube bus company leaves London every 12 minutes and costs £12 to £15 return, Megabus is £1 when booked in advance on the internet. If you want to take the train, it is only 1 hour to Oxford. It leaves from Paddington Station and will cost approx £20 return.
Oxford backpackers is a hostel for backpackers. We do not cater for stag night?s bucks nights or hens night functions. For bookings of over 5 people please contact the manager first.
Passports are the only form of ID accepted by us and will be required on check in.
Please also check with hostel prior to booking if you?re under the age of 18.
Oxford Backpackers now has keypad locks on each of its rooms for added security.

Cancellation Policy:
Should you cancel with 48 hours notice prior to arrival of the booking, nothing will be charged to the given credit card*
Should you cancel without 48 hours notification or not show then the full amount of the first night stay will be debited from the given credit card*
This hostel has a maximum of 7 nights stay!! A booking for more than 7 nights will be cancelled and the 10% deposit will not be refunded. Please contact management direct if you wish to stay longer.
Only bookings for 5 people or less will be accepted by this hostel. A booking for more than 5 people be cancelled and the 10% deposit will not be refunded.

From the train station
Turn right out of the train station, then left on the main road. walk past the Royal Oxford Hotel, and you will find the hostel on the right hand side of the street just before the bridge.
Look for the flags hanging!!
From the bus station
Walk out of the station where the buses drive in. Turn right and head down George Street, and continue over the small bridge. The hostel is 200 metres past the first set of traffic lights on the left hand side of Hythe Bridge Street
From the train station
Turn right out of the train station, then left on the main road. walk past the Royal Oxford Hotel, and you will find the hostel on the right hand side of the street just before the bridge.
