Welcome to Ostello Gallo d'Oro!
If you are here it's because you are looking for a clean, cheap and central accommodation with something extra on top of it all. Then you are in the right place.
Ostello Gallo d'Oro is located in the city centre of Florence, only a 5 minute walk from the Duomo and the train station.
We offer rooms with two, three, four and five beds, all with a bathroom. You can book a private room or a bed in a dormitory shared with others.
The rooms are spacious and modern with all of the comforts that you may not find in other hostels, such as en-suite rooms with telephone, TV, free internet access and wireless connection.
At the reception you will find Silvia&Max who will assist you with a big smile and a city map, they are always ready to suggest the best restaurants, the cheap but good ones, nice places to go to and events around Florence. We also give you the possibility to book tickets for free for most of the museums and events in Florence.
In our Photo gallery you will find pictures showing and telling about life here at Gallo d'Oro. And of course we organize many activities for and with our guests, such as tours in the beautiful Fiesole countryside, food and wine tasting in the Chianti area, trips at the Argentario beach or even at the famous castles in Umbria.
Still, if you are most interested in the city centre you can always take advantage of our hospitality, as we organize surprise ?Aperi-Dinners? during the week and more fun activities designed to spend time together and socialize, relaxing on the balcony of your room... if you are lucky!

Hostel Directions
Ostello Gallo D'Oro is on Via Cavour 104black (right stair 1°floor), between Piazza San Marco and Piazza Libertà 10 minutes from the Duomo.
If you walk from the train station instead of taking a bus you can take Via
Nazionale ( just out of the train station next to Mc Donalds ), then make a right on via XXVII Aprile. When you reach Piazza San Marco make a left on Via Cavour and
walk until number 104 black! ( remember that in Florence we have black
and red numbers !!! ).
We are a 15 minute walk from the Train Station SMN.
A five minute bus ride on ATAF Bus numbers 1, 7, and 25, one leaving every 5 minutes from the train station. Get off at Via Lamarmora (last stop on the street) and walk over one block to Via Cavour 104.
