Hostel Description
Haraldsheim is open from 2nd of January until 23rd of December. The hostel is situated 4 km from the city center, in beautiful surroundings offering a magnificent view of the city and the Oslofjord. Haraldsheim is an ideal starting point for hikes in the neighboring woodlands, summer and winter alike.
Haraldsheim is equipped with washing machines, dryers, a drying room, and a guest kitchen. Breakfast is served daily, and is included in the price. Lunch and dinner are served to groups when ordered in advance. Small warm dishes are available from vending machines.
Haraldsheim can assist in making proposals for programs for school classes etc. who wish to visit museums, companies, or institutions in the Oslo area.
The hostel is well suited for seminars and meetings. Our conference room can seat up to 80 persons, and we have 3 meeting rooms seating from 8 to 30 persons. Necessary AV-equipment is available on request.
Our staff is always at your service providing information on sightseeing and places of special interest for the visitor. They can also give suggestions for trips in the city and its surroundings, as well as to other parts of the country.
A youth hostel is meant to be a place where you it is easy to meet and make friends with fellow travelers from around the world. The open hearthed lounge at Haraldsheim is an ideal international meeting spot. We also have a TV-room and a non-smoking lounge. Until today travelers from more than 100 different nations have visited Haraldsheim Youth Hostel.
Please note*there is an additional charge of NOK 25 which will be charged upon arrival if you do not have an YHA membership card
Also note that we do not offer mixed rooms. All rooms are either male only or female only.

Hostel Directions
From downtown:
1.Take tram 17 to the Sinsenkrysset stop from Central Station( on the left side, when you leave the stationbuilding) Buy the ticket from Narvesen Kiosk or 7-Eleven inside the building before entering the tram. We also sell tickets at the reception. When you buy tickets from the tramdriver it costs Nok 10 more. From city centre you can take as well Buses 31 or 32
2.Take the local train from Oslo Central Station to Grefsen station.
From Gardermoen Airport take NOR-WAY Expressbus to Sinsenkrysset, or NOR-WAY Expressbus to Grefsen station. You can take as well Bus B15.
For travellers with the Gjøvik-train we suggest getting off at Grefsen station.
