Hostel Description
Montgomery House Hostel shares it grounds with a privately owned halls of residence for the nearby university and the hostel and is approximately 10 minutes from the city centre. Our building overlooks Alexandra Park and is ideal for transport into the City Centre and other local visitor attractions.
We offer a single or twin room option with wash basin, bed and bedside table. There is a communal room available with vending machine, pool table, table tennis table and sofas for you to relax during your stay. There are communal bathrooms which are single sex with baths, showers and toilets. We also have laundry facilities should you need them during your stay.
There are kitchen facilities available and you will be allocated your own lockable cupboard with crockery, etc. for your use during your stay. We only ask that these items are returned to your cupboard before you leave in a fit state for the next person in your room to use.
Should you forget to bring your essentials we have towels that you can hire and return and also items such as toothbrushes, soap, etc for your to purchase.
We have 24 hour CCTV all around the building so you can feel safe here. We put our residents? safety seriously and first! We provide a warm and friendly atmosphere for short or long term stays in Manchester.
We request that you try and stick to your stated arrival time so we can be sure that someone is available to meet and greet you, but we understand that this is not always possible and ask that you let us know if your arrival time will alter greatly.

Hostel Directions
The nearest train station to our accommodation is Manchester Piccadilly; you can then get on any of the following buses to our residence:
101, 104, 105, 109 - if you ask the driver for the Shell garage on Princess Parkway he will tell you when to get off. If you walk down the side of the garage and Alexandra Park you will come to Montgomery house.
85 - If you ask the driver for Demesne Road stop he will be able to direct you from the bus stop in the way that you need to go. As you walk down the road you will go past a nursery and further on from that you will see Montgomery House.
