The Great Glen Way, passes just behind the hostel, and the Great Glen Cycle Route is only minutes away. For mountain bikers there are forest tracks to explore. Hill walkers will be spoilt for choice with the 'Loch Lochy Munros' all within easy reach. Windsurfing equipment, boats, fishing tackle and mountain bikes can all be hired nearby at the Great Glen Water Park.

The hostel is situated 11 miles north of Spean Bridge on the A82 in a small settlement called South Laggan, halfway between Loch Lochy and Loch Oich.

Citylink services 915 and 916 between Glasgow and the Isle of Skye pass by the hostel and will stop nearby if requested. There are three buses in both directions every day.

Service 919 between Fort William and Inverness will also stop at the hostel; there are five buses each way every day in summer. For timetables see www.citylink.co.uk

The nearest railway station is in Spean Bridge. From Monday - Saturday there are three trains a day from Glasgow Queen Street Station, and two trains a day on Sundays in summer. For more information see www.firstscotrail.com
