Kells Hostel (also known as Kells Holiday Hostel) is a family run hostel situated in the Heritage town of Kells. We are within walking distance of all heritage sites and amenities. In the hostel we have both private en-suite rooms, family rooms and dormitories. There is a large kitchen with all the facilities, a common room with TV and laundry facilities. There is no charge for hot showers and bed linen is included. We also have a courtyard and a garden for tents (summer only). French, German and Spanish spoken. Parking.

Kells town has a Heritage Centre with a copy of the world famous Book of Kells and a replica of the Kells Crosier. There are also several High (Celtic) Crosses in town, the most famous of these is the Market Cross outside the Heritage Centre. There are also several restaurants and good pubs.

Newgrange, Loughcrew Cairns, Monasterboise, Hill of Tara and Trim Castle are all within 25 kms of Kells, making Kells the centre for Heritage in Ireland.

We are only an hour from the airport making us the nearest hostel to the airport outside Dublin. There are 35 buses to and from Dublin every day (15 on Sunday) making Dublin easily accessible for a day trip.

From the Airport take the M 1 towards Dublin, take the M 50 southbound, then take N 3 (exit 6) towards Cavan. 50 km to Kells.
From Central Bus Station (Busares) take either a bus to Cavan or Kells (1 1/2 hrs)
Kells (Holiday) Hostel is in Kells on Carrick St (on N3).
