The campsite "La Timpa" is in the heart of the beautiful scenery of the Ionian coast.
Open all year, our campsite is in S. Maria La Scala; a small sea village just a few steps from Acireale. It is part of a nature reserve and has a lift that allows you to join a private platform on the rocks and near the sea.

Located in the heart of the unspoiled country and surrounded by wonderful gardens with lemon trees and typical flowers of the Mediterranean, our campsite overlooks one of the most beautiful beaches in the island.

Thanks to its position, it is possible to organise excursions to different places such as in Acireale, to visit its beautiful churches, the wonderful Mount Etna, Catania, Taormina and Syracuse.

You?ll find kindness and hospitality with us, what is more, our restaurant which is well known for its excellent cuisine and the interesting cultural and archaeological tours make our campsite the ideal place to spend your holidays!

It is equipped with a mini-market, restaurant-pizzeria, snack-bar, car park, bowling green, and free hot showers.

Our campsite is provided with shady areas with power supply (ECC), free hot showers and comfortable caravans which are equipped with all conveniences.

The village offers a wide range of accommodation from bungalows to mini-apartments (2/5 beds.) All of them have a charming sea view and feature air-conditioning, patio with table and chairs, Satellite TV and a private bathroom. Bungalows can be with or without kitchen.

In bungalows or residences, prices include private bathroom with hot water and gas. Final cleaning is included only for bookings of one week at least. It is not included for reservations of less than one week. Car parking is not included as well as electric power (? 0.40/Kwh), bed linen or bath towels (available for an extra price.)

In low and middle season we usually accept bookings of 2 nights at least. In high and peak season we usually accept bookings of one week at least!

Reception desk is open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., rooms can be released from noon to 11:00 p.m. and the day of departure must be left before 10:30 a.m. - 11.00 a.m.

From Catania Airport:
- Follow the green signs for motorway;
- Enter motorway from Catania to Messina;
- Exit Acireale (you can follow our signs just after the exit of motorway);
- Go straight in Viale Cristoforo Colombo and pass 2 traffic lights and go on straight until you reach the Road SS114;
- Once you have entered Road SS114 (direction Catania) reach the first traffic light and turn left to Santa Maria La Scala;
- About 200 mt. after, turn right to Via Santa Maria La Scala;
- At nr. 25 (about 150 mt. after) you will find us, ready to welcome you!
