Travelers Hostel Bakfark is a cozy and welcoming high school-dorm building, open to backpackers from mid-June to the end of August and for the New Year?s period.

The rooms have high-ceilings and are fitted with an upper gallery (6-bedded rooms) or bunk beds (4-bedded rooms) to increase the space, which makes them popular with families with children and also youth groups. There are common showers with continuous hot water and common toilets on each floor.

While breakfast is not included, there are a lot of cheap eating options nearby, including fast food and a 24 hour pancake shop!

There are plenty of interesting sites to explore in the nearby castle area, and everyday shopping facilities and transport links are also close by, so it's a great base from which to explore the city.

We offer guided bus tours in English, German and Spanish as well as various walking tours in English. You can also take adventure tours.

Hostel Bakfark is centrally located on the Buda side opposite the huge Mammut II shopping centre and tram routes so it?s easy to get here from Nyugati (Western) Railway station (4 or 6 tram west to Buda for 5 stops until Széna tér). From Keleti (Eastern) Station, it?s also simple: (just take the red-2 metro line (6 stops west to Moszkva tér) and other public transportation.
