Why Hippo Hostel?

Our home is your home, quite literally. We don?t just own the place, we hang out there everyday--drinking beer in the common room, working the grill on the patio, talking and giving sightseeing ideas. With several big common areas yet a small capacity (24 people), we put the emphasis on relaxation and getting to know your fellow hostellers. And if you get tired of all that, the beach is 10 minutes away!

Please note: that our accommodation is only available for bookings of 5 persons or less. If you would like to make a reservation for over 5 persons then it is advisable to contact the Groups Department of Hostelbookers to assist you. You will find their link on the main Hostelbookers web page. If you do make a reservation for over 5 persons direct with us then we will cancel your booking without refund.

Hippo Hostel is 20-25 minutes walk from the Budva bus station.
NOTE: if you take a taxi, drivers won't know us by name. Give them our address: IV Proleterska, 37. Make sure they don't confuse this with I Proleterska as theysometimes do.
- Walk out of the front of the bus station. Across from you, you'll see Meridian Rent a Car. Turn left.
- Go straight until you see the Blue Star Hotel. Turn left. -Eventually, you'll pass Grill Relax, then Olympia Training Center, then a small metal brigde.
-After the bridge, turn left. At the next road you'll see Parma Grill, turn right.
- You'll pass a church on the left and later Hotel Max Prestige.
-Turn left on the next street after Hotel Max Prestige (it's 2 minutes later and just past Horizont Restoran, which is on the right. If you see Bengal Market, you've gone too far!)
-You are now on Proleterska, our street (but you won't see a sign). Walk for 3 minutes (stay to the left). We are across the street from a mini market at IV Proleterska, 37.
