Hostel Description
This modern spacious guesthouse is situated in Dingle town centre, with a panoramic view of Dingle Harbour. The world renowned town of Dingle is host to countless pubs, restaurants, tourist shops, an aquarium and much more. The town originated as a fishing town and has quite a large quay, so obviously seafood is a speciality in Dingle. Dingle town is situated approximately thirty miles west of Tralee on the Dingle Penninsula in county Kerry, in Irelands scenic south west region.
All of our bedrooms are en suite with tea/coffee making facilities, television, and hairdryers, 6 rooms have balconies overlooking Dingle harbour. We provide private car parking space.
Dingle is an ideal base for exploring the South West of Ireland. Located on the Dingle Penninsula Wherever your interests lie or whatever you want to do, from fishing to tracing family roots, Dingle will make your visit truly memorable and enjoyable.
Attractions
Dingle and it's surroundings boast some of Ireland's most scenic areas. Situated approximately thirty miles west of Tralee, near the famous Mount Brandon, it is surrounded by countless lakes, mountains, hills and valleys. The terrain left after the glaciation is truly a sight to behold. The scenic route from Tralee takes in the breath taking scenery of the Conor Pass, Peddlers Lake and much more. The Slea Head drive is takes you through the finest views of West Kerry, Beehive huts and Gallarus Oratory. A visit to Dingle and the appreciation of its historical trail is a very enriching experience, particulary for those with a keen interest in history.
For the more energetic there is a wealth of activities nearby - historic trails and walking routes, horse riding, swimming, golf, windsurfing, fantastic fishing and much more! There are boat trips to see Fungi the famous Dingle Dolphin which depart from the quay in Dingle approximately 5 minutes walk from our house regularly during the summer months.

This journey is 180 kilometres and takes approximately 2 hours 45 minutes to drive.
Depart Shannon Airport and head east on the N19 for about 7km.
Turn Right (south) onto the N18 heading for Limerick for about 18km.
Turn Right (south west) onto the Dock Road (N20) for about 11km.
Go on the N21 heading to Tralee approximately 90 km.
Head on the Dingle Road N86 for approximately 48km.
On arriving in Dingle take a left at the roundabout and continue veering
left in front of Murphy's Pub. Shortly after passing the Marina/Pier you
will see our bed and breakfast in the Wood. Our car parking space is located
behind our house.

This journey is 180 kilometres and takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes to drive
Depart Cork Airport and head East for about 1km
Turn Left heading west onto the N28 for about 5 kilometers.
Continue on the N22 heading toward Killarney.
In Killarney head for the Dingle road.
On arriving in Dingle take a left at the roundabout and continue veering
left in front of Murphy's Pub. Shortly after passing the Marina/Pier you
will see our bed and breakfast in the Wood. Our car parking space is located
behind our house.

This journey is 350 kilometres and takes approximately 5 hours non-stop to drive.
Depart Dublin Airport for about 1km
Turn Right (East) onto M1 for about 3km
Turn Right (West) onto M50 for about 18km
(M50 contains a toll bridge which costs ?1.20 ).
Turn Right (West) onto N7 towards Limerick from M50 190km
Continue south west on N20 for about 10km.
Go on the N21 heading to Tralee approximately 90 km.
Head on the Dingle Road N86 for approximately 48km.
