The town of Bansko is all seasons resort situated in Southwestern Bulgaria, it is about 160 km south of Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria), lying at the foot hills of beautiful mountain- Pirin with its hospitable people and traditions Bansko becomes one of the most famous resorts in Bulgaria and all over the world during the past years.
Steeped in history and culture, Bansko's cobbled streets are home to traditional stone-built houses and family run bars and restaurants, where the local people are always warm and friendly.
The Bansko ski resort has a long ski season that runs from mid December until mid April and is now recognised as the best ski resort in Bulgaria.
Besides the skiing, there are plenty of other activities, excursions and nightlife to keep you entertained during your stay. Outside the ski season, Bansko plays host to a number of festivals, including the Bansko Jazz festival, when hundreds of musicians gather from all over the world to perform. Bansko is also becoming an increasingly popular destination for mountain biking and white water rafting, as well as already being one of the top hiking destinations in Europe, with it's unspoilt natural beauty, breathtaking mountain scenery, lakes and alpine forests.
