The hotel operates since 1970 in Alimos, a suburb of the capital of Greece, only 10km from the center of Athens.

The hotel lobby reception and dining room are all very bright due to the extensive surrounding windows, giving a spacious and airy feel. The interior style has a minimalist decor with light oak wood flooring throughout, contemporary leather sofas and stylish lighting. Galaxy Hotel achieves elegance through simplicity. This style extends to the carefully appointed guestrooms.

The hotel has 46 rooms divided in 45 twin rooms and 1 suite that meet disabled requirements. Room facilities include air condition, balcony, mini bar, safe in room, hair dryer, shower, satellite TV, direct dial phone, soundproof windows. Non-smoking rooms are available.

Most of the rooms have unlimited view to the Saronic Gulf and all have fully renovated in 2002.

Opposite the hotel, just in front of the sea there is a park where you can take a relaxing walk, let your children play in the newly built playground (one of the best in Athens) or even swim in the beach, which is only 50m from our premises.

Very close is also the Marina of Alimos, the largest marina in Greece to rent a sailing yacht and explore the beautiful sea of the Aegean and the world famous Greek islands.

The commercial area is only two minutes walk and you can find almost everything you will need. Hairdresser, dry cleaner, banks, shops etc.

During your stay with us we can arrange a guided sightseeing of Athens or a journey with a group to the center of Greece. Small daily cruises to the island close to Athens or even multi day cruise to Cyclades, Dodecanese and Turkey. We can also help you rent a car, help you issue a ticket to almost anywhere, find out about schedules for ships, trains and buses.

On your arrival in Athens the fastest way to get to our hotel is by taxi, which is very easy to get by simply flagging one down.

If you do not want to use a taxi, other alternative solutions from different places are:

From Athens New Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos)- by bus no. E96
The ticket costs 3 Euro?s and is valid for 24 hours for every form of public transportation (buses and metro.) You can only buy the ticket on the bus. Get off at the 3rd station Kalamaki, from there the hotel is about 50 metres walk.

Upon leaving the airport take Attica road, the motorway that connects the airport to Athens. Turn on the junction for Koropi Markopoulo and follow the signs to Alimos. Drive along Vari Koropiou avenue to its end, where you will find a sign for Alimos. Turn right and you will reach Posidonos avenue. At the intersection with Kalamakiou street, you will find the hotel.

From Piraeus by bus, metro or tram:
A bus ticket costs 0,45 euros per route per person and you can only buy tickets from the kiosks that sell newspapers and not on the bus. An underground (metro) ticket costs 0,70 euros per route per person and you can buy tickets on each station. A tram ticket costs 0,60 euros per route per person and you can buy it in every stop from the automatic machines. Buses and metro run until approximately 23:00, trams run from Sunday to Thursday from 05:00 - 01:00 and Friday and Saturday 24 hours. Taxis, on the other hand, operate on a 24-hour-a-day basis and are easy to find.
