Hostel Description
Engimyri Guesthouse is perfectly situated in the north of Iceland, right off highway number 1, only 34 km west of Akureyri.
It is located in the beautiful valley of Öxnadalur, which has several hiking trails for the adventurous in addition to Hraunsvatn and Þverbrekkuvatn, two lakes with abundance of fish, where you can try your luck free of charge.
On offer are seven double and twin rooms, all equipped with comfortable beds, wash basins and towels, closets, a table and chairs.
Sleeping bag accommodation is also offered. The shower and toilet facilities are in the corridors so each guest has a bathrobe at his own disposal. Breakfast can be served at a time convenient to our guests and we also offer coffee, cakes or dinner.
Our Restaurant is open every day 12.00 - 21.00 and our dining room seats up to 60 people. We also have a small lounge where you can watch TV, video or DVD's. If that's not enough, you can always relax in the hot tub outside!
During the fall, 20th October ? 20th December, hunting is available.
