We are now bigger and better! If you?re in Glasgow you must here for a good time, right? Then we are the place you?re looking for! Our staff will do everything possible to make sure you have a good time.

We cater to backpackers only! We are not a youth hostel, hotel, bed and breakfast or guest house! Please, if you are not a backpacker, between the ages of 18 to 35 years and are not used to backpacker hostels do not book with us as you will not be happy here!

There are at least 50 pubs, clubs and restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the hostel. This is great for backpackers and fun seekers looking for budget priced hostel accommodation in Scotland.

If you are looking for fun, excitement and a bit of culture - Glasgow has it all. The backpacker hostel is ideally located in the city centre and a stone throw away from museums, galleries, restaurants, night clubs, cinemas, concert halls and public houses.

6. 48 hours notice must be given for cancellations or you will be charged the full amount of the first day of the booking.

Hostel Directions

Bluesky Youth Hostel is located in the Charing Cross area of Central Glasgow and is a 10 - 15 minute walk from Queen Street and Central Rail Stations and a 20 minute walk from Buchanan Bus Station. The location is ideal for the backpacker who is up for a night out on town, being a stone's throw away from Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street.

Glasgow is located in West Central Scotland and is very accessible from most major cities in the UK, Europe and North America. There are direct flights from Toronto, New York and most European and UK cities to Glasgow International Airport, located 10 miles to the west of the city centre. A fast, frequent bus service links the Airport to Central Glasgow and the journey time takes approximately 20 minutes.


From Glasgow Central Station on Hope Street, take the 16, 18 and 57 buses and ask the driver for Berkeley Street, Charing Cross.

On arrival at Glasgow Queen Street by train from Edinburgh, Aberdeen and the Highlands, take the low-level train from Queen Street (West Bound platform) and alight at Charing Cross Station. Bluesky Hostel is only a 3 minute walk away from the Glasgow Charing Cross Station.


Glasgow is only 5 hours by train from London Euston and there are also frequent trains from other major UK cities such as Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol and Penzance to Glasgow Central. Most long distance services to Glasgow are operated by Virgin Trains and it is advisable to book at least 2 weeks in advance.
